Electrician


Taliano Group of Companies is seeking a capable and proactive Electrician to support our beverage production operations at our Tharbogang, NSW site.

The Taliano Group of Companies operates established wine and juice production businesses, with both manufacturing operations located at the same site.

About the Role

This is a varied, hands-on role providing electrical maintenance and breakdown support across both our winery and juice production operations.

You will maintain, repair and improve electrical equipment across wine production, cellar, juice processing, bottling and packaging areas. Working across two different beverage manufacturing operations provides an excellent opportunity to develop broad industrial experience while helping ensure our equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably.

The successful applicant will be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment, responding to breakdowns, completing preventative maintenance and supporting equipment installations and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance and repairs across the winery and juice production operations.
  • Maintain electrical equipment used in cellar, processing, bottling, labelling, conveying and packaging operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults safely, methodically and efficiently.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and help minimise production downtime.
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and accurately record completed work using JMS.
  • Install, test and maintain electrical equipment, wiring, motors, pumps, control circuits and related systems.
  • Assist with the maintenance of variable-speed drives, sensors, instrumentation and automated production equipment.
  • Maintain electrical safety systems and follow isolation and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant legislation, Australian Standards and site requirements.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, shutdowns and commissioning activities across both operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency, safety and production performance.
  • Maintain accurate electrical records, maintenance documentation and equipment information.
  • Communicate effectively with production operators, cellar staff, contractors and maintenance team members.
  • Participate in breakdown support, scheduled shutdowns and project work as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Current electrical licence.
  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, food, beverage or packaging environment.
  • Ability to diagnose faults involving motors, pumps, conveyors, filling equipment and production machinery.
  • Familiarity with variable-speed drives, control circuits, sensors and automated equipment would be advantageous.
  • Experience with bottling, packaging, food processing or beverage production equipment would be highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety, isolation and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Calm and methodical approach to fault-finding and problem-solving.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise work across two active production operations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with production and maintenance teams.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Relevant industry safety tickets as required by the site.
